Making the rounds today. Superbowl Sunday booze and steak for anyone who let me hunt their land this winter. I suppose this is what winter is supposed to look like; freezing drizzle, 15 degrees, defroster can't keep up, roads slick as snot.

-22 is actually pretty common here. This winter has been mild so far. I think it was the winter of '14 - '15 where we had weeks and weeks (and weeks) of -20 to -28 lows. That got really old

I started to make a smart ass comment on the snow plow thread. Glad I didn’t. Just got 9” overnight. Most snow we have had in 10 years.
More coming tomorrow night. Maybe 3”. Coldest temps of the year this weekend. Highs in teens and low of -6.
What were we saying about February in the pruning thread?

Good thing the deer had the first half of winter off. Snow pack is now at 3’ and the cold is just starting. Next two weeks look brutal if you are a deer trying to make it to April.

We are a week into our cold stretch, I really hate the month of February, no wonder so many babies are born in November. It's colder than a mother and all you can do is stay warm....& active.

3 hour flight and it's around 80. Was 86 when we landed around 3:30.
In less time than it takes to drive to southern MN to see my wife's folks we're in sunny FL. Thank God for jet fuel
