I am planning on going to the meeting in Cambridge if I don't forget. I don't think it will do any good but I got to try.

So in other words 13% of revenue collected via deer hunting license sales, goes into deer management. No more and no less? And now the DNR is saying that they will run out of money in the cervid health fund by 2018 as well and they are exploring ways to fund the work beyond that. The deer feeding money became the deer feed and disease fund. At the roundtable, a DNR official called it the cervid fund. Purposes seem to migrate... I favor dedicating deer license dollars to specific areas, such as habitat, other dedications for disease, for assessing the accuracy of computer models, etc. How to stop funds from migrating is a tough one...

Steve Merchant was the one with all The heifer dust. No one with any information to dispute. Must be telling the truth as he sees it.
