Congrats on your new tractor (whenever you get it). I'm sure it will be awesome! I spent the day yesterday brush-hogging dry and DUSTY grass/weeds... in a cab with radio and AC. Just the noise reduction is worth it but the shade and comfort is amazing compared to what I'm used to.
I bet you wish you had some of those cars back.

Just the noise reduction is worth it but the shade and comfort is amazing compared to what I'm used to. I bet you wish you had some of those cars back. Funny you say that. I've owned a number of great cars over time.....including: 31 Ford Model A with a rumble seat. 32 Ford Street Rod fully fendered...... with chevy front to back - awesome street rod I built - beat the 427 chevy's in the quarter mile - grin. 53 Pontiac 2 door sedan w/ straight 8 and a hydromatic tranny 55 Chevy Two door Bel Air, 265 engine 57 Chevy 55 Chevy Handyman 2 door station wagon......predecesor to the Nomads. Very Cool 57 Olds 88 2 door sedan w/ J2 engine (3 - 2 bbl carbs). 59 Plymouth 2 door HT 64 Chevy 2 door chenille w/ 4 speed and 327 chevy - pretty quick 67 Chevy 2 door chenille 72 Chevy Impala Convertible - When I got married .....and several others that are too numerous to mention. I was kinda a car jockey and found fascinating things to own for a few years......or weeks. Now.....I cringe to spend a few bucks on a cab tractor........funny how that works.

I am right with you Foggy. My combine has almost 6,000 hours on it now. I need a newer one, but can't come to grips with throwing 40K at another one. I can, but won't for some reason. So I need to fix mine with a new concave and rasp bars for threshing. JD wanted $6,000 to do the job, So I didn't even do that. I bought the parts from All States AG Parts for $1100 and just fixed it myself. Why I am so tight with some of this stuff I have no idea! LOL!

You're tight on some things so you can splurge on others. At least that has always worked for me.

You're tight on some things so you can splurge on others. At least that has always worked for me. Like buying a commercial case of pickles and paying to have them shipped. Why? Because they're the best damn pickles to submerge in a red beer and only available 5 gallons at a time. I was so disappointed in the pickles where I live, I called the Saloon #10 in Deadwood and asked them what kind of pickles they used, because that's where they were great. ***Edit. That last pick was slices. I needed spears. Thank god I haven't ordered yet.

I bought a new Kabota WITH A CAB today (L3560HSTC) Likely will get it in another week or ten days. The dealer has to add some hydraulic valves and fluid in the tires and put the loader on - yadda yadda. Should be a pretty nice tractor for my needs and hopefully will last me a long time. I have gotten tired of the dust and bugs and this should go a long way toward finding some good comfort in my tracturing days. My old John Deere brought a pretty fair trade price IMO......so I'm glad to move up a bit in size and STABILITY.

Nice. Is that a 4wd tractor with 35 hp?
What kind of equipment will you be using with it? I know what my old Ford 841 2wd can pull, but I'm not sure how that translates with the new 4wd models. A tractor with a cab is on my wish list too, but i'm too cheap to pull the trigger. I'm getting sick of mosquitos, ground wasps and dusty fields though, so I'm slowly getting closer to justifying a tractor upgrade. Let us know how your purchase works out and take some pictures-
