I decided to buy the tractor.....AFTER my wife bought a new sofa. Grin. Timing is everything. . Must have been one expensive ass sofa. Well....actually it was a sofa, love seat, 2 recliners, a rug, and a dining room table. Major improvements. ....been said: "you cant take it with you".

If I brought home a tractor like that, the Barracuda would have all new furniture in the house, a new wardrobe and probably a brand new car for herself before I got one implement hooked up! No Fucking way am I buying a tractor that nice! Didn't she just have the house painted? Yep, but that was only 5 grand. She would make up more shit to equal a $30,000 tractor. Trust me!

I think my soil is way too heavy for Foggy to pull his tractor and cultivator across my plot once it dries out. I'm certain it won't be able to do it.

Grin.....and I may just take you up on it.....if it dries up a bit. Part of my problem tho is that I cannot haul my tractor very far with my little Honda pickup truck. <----This could be by design? . If time and conditions allow......maybe we could do a little land tour up at your place.....and somebody could haul my tractor for an hour or two of Demo time on one of your plots - or some such thing. Could be a plan for next year? ......or, maybe early September???

I'd have to get some trail cleanup done before that. Time is running out on working that plot this year. I'm willing to plow down my first seeding that's going in this weekend, but come August 11th, if it can't be done, it ain't gettin done.

You'll have to let us know how you like the treadle compared to individual peadles. That's what kept me from getting a bota.

Has the machine been delivered yet? Nope.....they were shorted a few hydraulic parts.......so they want to deliver complete......and I want that too. Maybe tommorow or Friday??

I did snap a pic of my tractor behind the Kubota dealership today. They had some hydraulic lines that I was a bit unhappy with (they were /are hanging down too low). I’ll see if they take care of this issue. They seem willing to learn from me. grin.

You'll have to let us know how you like the treadle compared to individual peadles. That's what kept me from getting a bota. I played with the treadle a bit before pulling the trigger. I dont think this will be a huge event....one way or the other. One trick I learned is that you can use the toe of your boot to pull up on the treadle for reverse.....and with the peddle "overhang" on the right of the new-style treadle peddle.....you can keep your heel on the floor if you like and either push down for forward or pull up (with the toe as said earlier) to get reverse. This feature pretty much makes the treadle issue a mute point.....IMO. Others have said both have pro's and con's.....and I think this to be the case. Sometimes it's easy to hit reverse with the Deere ...when you think you have the forward peddle pressed.....happens to me sometimes.

That's a great looking tractor. Does it have enough room for a second person to sit in the cab?

That's a great looking tractor. Does it have enough room for a second person to sit in the cab? It's got a pretty nice size cab. I did see a video somebody made where two pretty good size folk were in the cab. I dont think you'd want to do this too often.....and there is no seat for a second rider......but you may be able to teach someone to drive......if your on good level ground, etc. I would not want to bounce around like when disking and have another rider in the cab tho. After I get it to my place (tommorow? - if all the needed parts came) I will get some pics and give you a better idea about a rider. The cab is much more spacious than the similar size John Deere products......and has so many more standard features.....and the options are far less money too. I can easily see putting a youngster on your lap for limited experience in the tractor. Ive been waiting to mow for two weeks at my place.....just waiting for this tractor and cab to do the work. Then I need to get a brassica plot worked up and planted too. Should be fun....and I will have some experience to share. I think this is going to be a nice rig for my needs.....probably a bit of "overkill"......but then it will last a lifetime or so. .

Better overkill than under-kill. When I was shopping for a tractor I was looking in the 30-35 hp range, but ended up with a 45 hp Kioti. Cost me less than blue or green in the 35-40 hp range.

That's good info. When my kids are a little older I'll probably upgrade and get a tractor with a cab and I'd like to have enough room to be in there with them at least initially. That's why I was asking about the room in the cab. Let us know how you like it and what size equipment you can pull with that. My nearest dealer is a Kubota/ new holland, so one like yours is certainly on my short list.
