I use the piss out of these little moultrie spreaders for both Seed and fertilizer. The last two made it about 5 years I think. $113 plus free shipping on jet.com. I mount them on the front of the 4 wheelers so I can watch the rate of flow better.

I bought one two years ago and have to get mine mounted yet. Next year for sure. I guess it won't wear out that way...... Well the idea was I needed it for small seeds on my new big plots. Then my logging got delayed a few years so it never became a priority to get it done. When now that i finally got the plots cleared I have hanging out this new gal a lot so I haven't got a lot done this year. Oh well

Last fall I figured out how I could add a 2" receiver hitch to the front of my Side By Side Honda Pioneer UTV. The reciever is WELDED solidly to the same bracket that holds the winch....and does not interfere with winch operation. I got most of the grunt work done last fall.......but today I got the details completed. I now have a rope pull to open and close the gate......and an on/off switch to control the spinner. Last summer I installed a "small seed plate" to the herd seeder so that I can seed clover and brassica down to about 2 lbs to the acre. Pretty slick. All I gotta do is drive around and apply seed and things like Milorgante, and sometimes fertilizer (although I do limit the use of feritliere in this spreader). Now that I have the receiver.....I am also considering adding the means to attach an adjustable (height) rope wick setup for the front of the UTV. Been putting this off for years.....maybe its time. Anyway....gonna put up some pics from my phone below. Pretty happy with the results of this setup. I got the battery mounted in the box (which powered both my Herd seeder.....and the FIMCO sprayer which mounts on the back. Very useful tools. .

I wanted to mention.....that I added those two 1.5" J-shaped tubes to the seeder.......so that now when I take it off.....it can rest on the tube ends and the receiver-hitch tube (in a 3 point fashion)on the floor and NOT damage the motor.....or tip over. I cannot understand why the manufactures cannot think far enough to do this stuff. Grrrrrr. Rant over. I left the rheostat mounted on the seeder.....which allows me to control the speed of the spinner plate.......allowing some wide variation on how far you sling the seeds. Nice. I also had to add a tapered floor attachment so that ALL the seed would empty from the hopper. Seems I have had to modify so many things on this seeder to get it up to my standards......but I think I am finally done with modifying it. Too bad some of these companies stop improving these products. If I were looking for a biz to go into....this could be one. They are lucky I am retired. Grin.

I'm considering adding raw grass fed milk to the breakfast menu at the cabin. I'm a little worried the wolves may get my cow though.

Yeah.....but if you cannot weld with AC current.....you best forgetaboutit. This is a job for men with tools and grid power. Grin.
