If anyone sees a cabin that can be moved ... I’m looking. I see a few on Craigslist but nothing that’s been the right fit.
Prefer one that is not too far from my area (2-3 hours) but open to anything. WC Minnesota

Parkers Prairie, we have been using the fish house, but something permanent would be better.

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship I have seen a few on Facebook Marketplace at times......and they looked pretty good and were affordable. You gotta watch every day.....cause a decent cabin will sell fast. Also seen a few on Craigslist....but never anything I'd buy. The guy that built mine said he wanted to build more....but I dont know if they will. They used to build log homes in time gone by.....now they mostly are loggers and sell logs to other log home builders and some specialty stuff when they can (mantels and such). I think the days of log homes is mostly gone. Too expensive to maintain.

Check these guys out They used to build allot of them around the lakes area. Not these days. Now they go more timber frame and stick built construction with accents or log exteriors, etc. A true log home is a bitch to maintain regarding foundations and such. Too much expansion, warping, contraction, etc.

Around me there are several Amish and Mennonites who build sheds & cabins on skids. I've seen several over 10' wide and well over 20' long. They hire out for delivery. I know one who builds and ships some as far as California.

A couple of years ago they expanded the BP in Parkers (Added a large car wash) and they moved the small house that was there, nice looking house. If that is something your interested in you may want to put the word out to the local communities that your interested and you may get some opportunities.
