Wait until KBB starts telling you how you're doing it all wrong, or your window wasn't shimmed perfectly square, or your storage container is tilting, or, you should have used a square when you trimmed the ship lap.... Then, you realize, you're not really in charge of anything, even if you think you are. What happens next, is you stop inviting anybody to join you while you're there, and you can enjoy your kingdom in solitude, for what it's worth. Absolutely. Someday I will likely transition to what I believe is a democracy and actually get overthrown as dictator. It's inevitable, but that is the price for rubbin and cuddlin. In these formative years, there is a reason I've snuffed out all democratic uprisings. The land here is mine to do what I want, when I want. The wife has voiced objections about all the hinged and dropped trees, as well as the ridiculous number of fruit trees...and those objections have been completely ignored. What goes on in/around the house... those are democratic decisions.

Next week the highs are projected to be 27,26,23, 21...in WC MN...colder up north. I don't know what to expect, but it could be really good. The gun opener will be cold too, first morning might be gang busters on Nov 9...then will hunters stay inside more due to cold? Or do most hunters have a box blind now?
In some ways this is in a sense too cold. We will see.

Hopefully it blows like hell on the weekends and then slows down during the week.

Had a spike and a fork come in last night around 6:20. It seemed like they were traveling together as they both came in with the wind to their backs and only a minute or so apart.

My hunt last night was slow. Hoping it’s better this weekend?

No evidence of chasing/high activity on either side of around 5 miles of dirt roads today. Kind of odd to be honest. When they're out chasing I see tracks all over.

DNR headlines..."Cold temperatures and standing corn lead to lower than expected deer kill" How many years in a row will they use that excuse....... It keeps working. I bet the template doesn't even change from year to year. The forecast gets much colder, and the harvest could really take a shit.

First serious action tonight in OTC. My sons and I had good hunt, we all saw a nice buck—really fun.
