I honestly have never seen anyone eat a steak with ketchup. Great story!!!!!!
Hey, as long as we are all happy..... put dog shit on your steak if thats what makes it good. We went to Murrays or Mannies downtown years ago. I asked for A1 and I about got run out of the place by the look of our waitress.

I’m not 13 years old anymore (last time I put anything on a steak), but I actually did ketchup back then over A1. Still don’t like A1 to this day. Just buy a good piece of meat and cook it right. Keep it simple. Get a good sear. Profit.

There will never be a meal I eat without some kind of sauce. Sauce makes my meals.
I shutter at the thought of eating meat without something to dip it in. I dont care if its filet mignon. SAUCE ME!!!!

I like sauce on pork, chicken, duck, venison. Never on a steak. Tried one oscar style once at a restaurant. Immediately regretted that decision. Never again.

Anybody ever make merlot jam? We have that at our Xmas party with roasted pork tenderloin. That’s pretty good. Basically onions cooked down in merlot and a few other things.

We used to make steak butter and smear it on at the last minute on the grill. It's also good on the side.
Half soft butter Half brown mustard Minced garlic
Stir together and smear atop your steak. Bring extra napkins.

Ketchup and A1 is for people who don’t like meat.
Merlot onions sounds good but I’m not sure

Bark. This time just fancy salt and a light dip in the worschestershire sauce. Brought to room temp, patted dry and put to the iron.
