More or less what I thought....but had to ask. That is one thing about the "buffalo system"......is that what happens when you get chocked down by Johnson grass (for example) ? Start over....or live with it and keep showing "good seeds" into a problem area. One of those things not many folks talk about. Grin. My cereal rye is now really starting to put on some growth. Roller Crimper delivers on Friday. Anxious to plant "summer release" blend and some buckwheat. Reworking my drill for a bit better performance with small seeds. I think I stumbled onto a good means to make the drill perform better in this area. Good challenge. Active bunch of Tar River owners on another site and on Facebook. Folks are finding solutions to make these drills work better. . Is Johnson grass a real problem for us? I am not sure what it even looks like. Every system has it’s glitches, till, no till, or low till. Farmers battle it every year and start to identify trends that usually work. Until we get different weather or a new weed that takes advantage of the current system. I haven’t looked to see how bad nutsedge is in the foodplots this spring. My neighbor has worked to reduce it. I see it or something very similar in areas that haven’t been tilled in 30 + years. Perhaps the foodplots won’t get planted this year, or will just be beans, turnips, and radishes, who knows what that will do for the nutsedge. Sedges are another reason I bought the IMOX and Basagran. I'm getting more sedge (a few kinds from what I can tell) in my clover plots/forest openings.

Chemical prices are painful to look at this year.

Chemical prices are painful to look at this year. Just wait until next year. With $6 gas and $8+ diesel by August, I don't anticipate any costs for any products coming down any time soon.

Just saw the below stated on another site......Menards has a "deal" on Gly.....thought some may want to know: Menards has 2.5 gallon concentrate (41% glyphosate) for $89 plus 11% rebate right now. Same product almost $200 at the elevator.

I bought 3 gallons last fall/winter when it looked like the shit was gonna hit the fan. Otherwise, I'd be on my way to Menard's.

I cut up an ash that was alive, but blew over due to saturated soil and a dead ash log; both had landed in my weedy clover homeplot. If I get a window to spray IMOX tomorrow, I believe I'll go ahead and get it done. I spent 3 hours mowing my main orchard. 3 hours yesterday on the mower doing the lawns. Got another 3-5 hours of trail and orchard mowing to do yet.
I'm already sick of mowing...

We have mowed the lawn twice and the orchard once. We need to mow again.
That is cutting into my fishing time!

MAYBE next week our lawn could use it....but not at this point in Nisswa. My Winter Rye started to bolt in the last days tho....amazing the growth that can put on in days.

I missed some of the heavy snowfalls that you got this winter and spring. There is a big difference in ice outs on lakes as well. The snowpack delayed spring.

What is the cost of that IMOX and how much do you need / acre? I got some grasses in one of my plots....and would like to save it. Also need bassagran? What is reasonable quantity and price? I've tried to limit the number of chemicals I keep on hand.......but.....maybe gotta add another. F'n Biden.

If you're only dealing with grasses, I'd just hit it with clethodim and crop oil or surfactant.
