Your prices seem about right for bags.
This year I started buying my fertilizer in 1000 pound totes that are on pallets that they just load in the back of my truck. The price for 1000 pounds of 46-0-0 is $300 and the price for 1000 pounds of 25-10-10 is also $300.
Bags are a few bucks more for the same weight in fertilizer, so I think your prices are reasonable.

Cheapest place I've found for pellet lime is Tractor Supply. The are currently $4.49 for a 40 lbs bag. I wait tell they have it on sale and get it even cheaper.

I thought fertilizer costs were tied to petroleum, you would think costs would come down?

I thought fertilizer costs were tied to petroleum, you would think costs would come down? I think there is a time lapse for the adjustment in nitrogen prices. Was most of it produced last year and inventory at dealers was ordered.

I think there is a time lapse for the adjustment in nitrogen prices. Was most of it produced last year and inventory at dealers was ordered. So next year you are telling us fert prices will be super cheap? That's not how it works with petroleum products. 1. When oil prices go up, gas and other petrolium products immediatey jump in price. Immediately. 2. When oil prices go down, we're told, "This is last year's inventory, that's why the price hasn't gone down." 3. Prices slowly trickle down but always shoot up. At least that's the way the pessimist in me sees it. I have no proof. But this is the Internet where I can say whatever I want.

Have you done the math on bagged vs bulk? It might be worth buying or building a container for your trailer and driving to a coop that will mix and dispense it for you compared to bagged. This year I'll do about 7 acres total corn/beans and need about 2000 lbs of material. I'm shooting for 160 BU corn and 40 BU soybeans. Most of my material will be N and K on my sandy soil. This will provide sufficient food on my place to keep deer on it until January Minimum.
