People that hunt Iowa, are the cell cams banned? Are cameras banned from public in general?

From what I have read all trail cameras are banned on public land. Aylso cell cams are illegal when deer hunting on private land.

I can remember an older cell cam ad where I think the two states involved were Iowa and Missouri. The ad showed a smiling hunter at his computer looking at a nice buck. The line was something like, ‘I see he is coming out at 4:15 PM and I am going to jump across the state line and get him.’
To each his own, but this isn’t really hunting.
But as an alternative, I don’t like excess regulation either.
Not sure how I feel about the laws.
I can have an enjoyable hunt without the cell camera.

So if you have them in the field you have to have it in midnight send or off… According to Iowa DNR. I’ll still use them up until I gun hunt in December. Then shut them off.

A nonresident landowner should have the ability to monitor his farm for trespassing. I’d have one regardless. If they fine me, that’s the risk I take .
