I am back to only sleeping for only a few hours a night again. For about a week last month I got some great sleep for 5 or 6 hours in a row. Been up all night again. You guys do anything in particular besides getting laid for a sleep aid. This has been going on for 50 years.

I now drink less beer. That means less chance of waking to piss. Now I drink a bourbon or two if I’m drinking in the evening. I expect there is zero chance you go with this recommendation.
Exercise also helps.

Run up to Colorado and get some weed. The indica strain is good for sleep. Only buy the sativa strain when you want to clean the garage or something.
Indica = in da couch Is a good way to remember the difference.
It is the best sleeping med known to man.

Foggy’s suggestion of Tylenol PM has helped me. There are warnings about Tylenol and alcohol, I think for liver damage.
A big part of my problem is back pain after a few hours in bed. I move to a recliner for the rest of the night.

You ever try napping? I have a hell of a time sleeping when I'm supposed to. So I usually end up getting 4-5 hours a night, and then i'll try to sneak in an hour nap somewhere to put me over the top for the day.
When I lost the weight a couple years ago, I slept a whole lot better. Didn't need the naps anymore, and I could recharge with fewer hours of sleep.

I agree with the quitting drinking thing, if you are interested in better sleep. And exercise does help.
Two days without drinking isn’t enough. Like somebody else said, try two weeks, or even a month.
If sleep was my only problem back then, it wouldn’t have been enough to make me quit though.
