I believe it started today in NY. The governor there is saying she may call in the National Guard to work in hospitals. I believe I would postpone my medical procedure if tank drivers are filling the nursing roles. Me too. I imagine she means National Guard members with medical training

I get that. Having overflow in the hospitals is a scary situation. And I understand the debate but I don't agree with it for various reasons. What's the solution to lack of beds; mandate vaccines, fire healthcare workers, refuse treatment for those who aren't masked while running 5 miles a day and maintaining social distance? The way I see it is that we are currently in a situation that encourages punishment of those who don't make the same choices at you. We all have a line in the sand on what we will (or will not do) for our personal health; for some it's diet, some it's exercise, for some its a the vaccine/meds. In my opinion it's pretty judgmental to criticize someone not vaccinated while at the same time not doing everything possible to be healthy (which I believe almost nobody does). We all pick and choose what we are willing to do. If hospitals are overflowing why aren't we as a country rallying to produce more medical equipment and house it in hotels or college dorms as remote covid wings? Why not use the military facilities for overflow? Why aren't we training more medical personnel? If the hospitals are overflowing with covid patients then we should be trying to overcome the problem, not beat each other down. I don't agree with how things are being run and the general view of our citizens right now. I hear it too much. I don't care if the guy who's in the hospital had his shots or not, I care that we are trying to help him through the sickness. He made a choice just like we all do every day. Instead, I'm hearing resentment and hatred towards those who are sick. I'm just sick of hearing the hatred towards people for the health choices they make. I also feel there are other solutions towards the overflow problem that doesn't involve forcing/mandating personal health choices. Sorry, rant over. Because the covid overflow ain't happening is my guess. Our town had a big uproar last year as the emergency management team in our area designated our local hockey rink as the morgue when this bullshit started last year. since then One guy died of Covid so far. And he had so much other shit wrong with him a cold breeze could have killed him. People need to stop watching the news. LOL! Since this all began, the only direction we've gone with healthcare professionals is backwards. We've been getting rid of doctors and nurses since this began, at first for capacity reasons, then for orthodoxy non-compliance for actually trying to save people with off patent drugs, and now for jab resistance. There will be a day soon when we're going to wish we hadn't allowed government to dismantle our healthcare system.

And some how you get a liberal gov in NY that thinks how boot maker in the NG will take over for Nurse Rachet somehow. Can’t nobody else see what’s going on? Or just me?

Here is a site that helps see what hospital capacity looks like for the last 7 days. Click on the state you want to see and it will give you an easy to read graph. They strike fear by saying "at this rate they are GOING to overflow". I still say if you can see that the hospitals are going to fill up then get your ass ready for it, don't just sit back and blame the unhealthy or the unvaccinated. Nurses quitting? Hell yes they will quit (I know a few who already have). Many of them are not the primary provider for their family, they feel strongly about their personal rights, and can find work elsewhere. The government doesn't really have a lot of leverage on a large percentage of them. coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/hospitalization-7-day-trend/minnesota

So what is going to happen when so many nurses are fired for not receiving the vaccine? Has it started all ready?
Will some hospitals have to drop this mandate to stay in business? I believe it started today in NY. The governor there is saying she may call in the National Guard to work in hospitals. They have until midnight to get the first shot or they are gone. As of today it was 15% unvaccinated. We are already way under staffed but don’t worry our governor thinks they are a dime a dozen so she is going to bring in new ones from other states and countries. I have news for her NO ONE WANT TO MOVE TO NY!

Will some hospitals have to drop this mandate to stay in business? I don't think they can. The president will not reimburse them for medicaid or medicare services if they allow anyone to work that hasn't taken shots 1 & 2. So far, those with 2 shots are still allowed to earn a living. Deadline for firing those who haven't taken shot 3 hasn't been set yet. I'd expect that to come by December 15th or even sooner if cold/flu/rona season kicks off with a real bang. I don't expect they'll screw around with celebrity commercials and free hamburgers for shot 3. They don't have to play nice any longer. They now have a mandate to keep us safe after all. Israel just came right out and said "get your ass in for shot 3 or you no longer have any rights permissions."

Got my second dose of Pfizer a bit ago. First dose just made me a bit drowsy for a day. We'll see what the second does. My nurse is an older gal who lives on a farm. She says if you're going to get the vax, get the Pfizer. She's fully vaxxed, but understands why people have some reluctance. She also is pissed that this medical issue got turned into a political mess.

I think any organization that doesn't comply risks loosing funds or paying penalties. In my opinion this seems to be the direction biden is going with things... screw anyone who gets in the way.

I hope they consult a doctor and discuss their symptoms before a third dose.

If I get sicker than a dog from the second dose (highly, highly doubt it) then I won't be voluntarily getting any more doses. Seems like common sense.

Neither was anything to be concerned about. I look at it kind of like I look at our boat insurance policy. There's a 99% chance we'll never use that boat insurance policy, but a guy never knows.
