So.....I ordered a RAD e-bike for here in OZ. I just want one to ride around our neighborhood and want to keep the price down. It's flat as a pancake here.....so multiple gears and high output motors and high speeds are not of a big concern. I just need to get a light workout and go cruising without busting my fanny or spending allot of money. I found that the RAD bikes are of great quality and they have a new model in a single speed available for a good price. So....I bought one. It will ship on Monday and be here a few days later. It's called a RAD Mission. There are some cheaper ones.....and lots that cost much more......but this one checks most of the boxes for my purposes here in OZ. Been thinking along some other lines for a MN E-Bike.....where I would like the off road, fat tire machine.....which would be fun for trail riding and hunting. More study required.....but if the e-bike I ride here is appealing.....I may do more research on those fat tire bikes. Those fat tire ebikes could be allot of fun for scouting and for hunting too. I lack the energy for long hikes on some trails....but these bikes seem like it would be fun. Prices have come down on good stuff. For off-road and trail use.....check the RAD Rover E-bike. (google it).
Anyone have one? Some words of wisdom??

I’m a little confused, if you’re looking for a workout why the electric drive bike? Or is it capable of both and you can chose when you’re done exercising? Very unaware of how the tech works... not something on my horizon

I wonder if you can charge these with a solar unit? Grin.

Very unaware of how the tech works... not something on my horizon Yeah....it's a bit of a trade-off. You can set these to apply as much "assist" as you want......or simply pedal 100%. The nice thing is you can go faster and see more country and choose how hard you want to work in so doing. And.....if you are pooped out you can simply use the electric to ride a while. When you get to a big hill....use the electric assist to tame the hill. Takes some of the grunt out of bike riding. See the hunting video above. I can see this kind of e-bike for covering some ground and not leaving scent or working up a sweat getting to the back country. Great for "road hunting"....grin. If I were still hunting elk out west....this would be on my go-to list for a vehicle. Just getting up big hills at high altitude is hard on me. Seems like this would be the real deal.

Id like to have a bike at my farm as I have a large plowed field to the south I use to flank the west end of my property. It would have to be able to go through a plowed field. The last few I have looked at were 3k and up so I have not purchased one.

I went to their site but they don’t appear to sell an off-road model anymore.

I went to their site but they don’t appear to sell an off-road model anymore. That RAD Rover model is a fat tire-off road bike. There are several YouTube videos on using it for hunting. It comes in green. Look at that video posted above on the RAD Rover.
