I tried riding bikes in AZ because the wife wants to do it. Had to put a tractor seat on the damn thing to make it a little more comfortable for a fat guy. Nope didn’t work. Riding bikes with a better seat still sucked. . Could you just drive a tractor instead? A/C and all.

I picked up my Fat Tire E-Bike today from FedEx in Brainerd. Amazing the way they pack these bikes and how easy they are to assemble. Looks just like my bike assembly in OZ.....only this one has HUGE tires and gears for hills and such. They did break a plastic chain guard.....but I think they will replace this item. They shipped it early and I had to put the bike on FedEx "Vacation Hold' until I got back. It got a bit complicated. I think I will assemble it tonight......and ride tommorow. Hopefully I dont find any other damaged parts. (FedEX had it stored "upside-down". Dumb bassturds.

Got the RAD Rover bike assembled tonight but it's too dark for a pic. That plastic that broke was a protective cover for the brake caliper. All is good.....no damage. Took it for a ride in the yard tonight. I think this is gonna be just the ticket for some daily exercise and all purpose transportation. Ride four seasons with these big fat tires. Lots of power and good , easy, slow speed operation off road. PLENTY of power. Pics to follow. May use it for hunting or scouting. Fairly quiet....but the tires make a little noise at higher speeds. Not much at walk/run speeds like you would use on trails.
I think they are sold out again.....need to buy for future delivery. I bought a forest green "special edition" that is quite popular. It gets sold out within a few weeks of their offering it. Good value on the most popular off-road, fat-bike in the USA.

So I assembled and drove my new RAD Rover bike around the yard a bit between rain showers. I like the way this bike just rolls over rough terrain and the slow speeds you can operate it. I drove it through some deep mulch and rough ground....not a whimper. These class 2 bikes are limited to 20 MPH and they all will go about that fast (unless you alter the chips to do otherwise). Plenty fast on a bike. It has a nice front suspension and those 4" wide tires really soak up the bumps and can be run down to 10 PSI - unlike a typical bike. This makes them operate good on sand, snow, and even beach cruising. Very easy to ride with these tires. This one has 7 gear speeds via a Shimano shiver......and 5 help settings for the pedaling......plus a twist grip throttle to help start you out, or to simply operate like an electric mo-ped if you dont feel like pedaling. 750 Watts on a popular Hub motor. I added the rear rack.....and am waiting on a shipment from amazon with a rear view mirror, rear rack bag, a cell phone holder, and an improved cushion seat. You can get this stuff from RAD too....but it's a bit cheaper and better via Amazon (IMO). The bike was $1699 with shipping included.....and I suppose I bought another $125 in accessories for it. I spent about 1.5 hours to assemble - taking my time and watching video to do so. (pretty straight forward actually - simple). Oh....and the tires are puncture resistant with a liner to protect the tube. They are knobby tires. Comes with pretty bright headlight, tail light, and even brake lite. The materials and workmanship and fit and finish are as good as any big name bike. RAD and Himiway are both good bikes that sell direct at fair prices. Himiway is trying to get some of RAD's marketshare with a bit lower price and more stuff with comparable components. (they all have similar components at this price range). RAD kinda invented the fat tire bike....and this is their 5th generation. I think they got any bugs out long ago. Makes me feel like road hunting.....grin.

Only 20 miles on it. Just put it on Craigs list at $200 less than I paid. Reason is my hip does not allow me to swing my leg over the seat as I thought I could. If I sell this bike I will then buy another bike in a step thru model with these same features. I screwed up and thought I had the ability to mount the bike easier. If someone wants this let me know or I think it will be gone. Good bike....just "not quite" for me anymore. A couple years ago this would work. Alas....getting old sucks.

^. Sold my bike today. Had 4 people say they were coming to buy it.....but for one reason or the other could not make it, etc. Finally a guy showed up with the right amount of $$. (my asking price). I placed another order for one that I can step-thru. Should get it in a week or so. More of a moped looking bike. The bike riding is good for my joints.

Lots easier to drive around on the golf cart. Less chance of tipping over and spilling your beer….

I'm still old fashion and pedal. Will continue to do till I can't. Wife and I ride 10-12 miles every morning and another 10-12 every evening. Unless it's raining. My old schwinn gave out I waited over a month for this to come in. My first thought were that seat will get replaced but after 200 miles I'm OK with it.

I started riding recently and quit. My taint can't handle it. Truth. Can't understand why anybody would subject themselves to such torture.

My taint took a beating until I got it broken in. Now that I'm a fat old guy, the abuse it gets on a bike is too much.

I started riding recently and quit. My taint can't handle it. You need a wide ass cushioned old man seat. 30-50 miles here and there might knock a pound or two off.

I also never ate a SALID.
