In today's "throw away world" quality doesn't mean as much I suppose. Lots of guys ride an atv/utv for a couple years, then trade it in on a new one. Any issues along the way are addressed with the standard warranty. I want the next atv I purchase to be the last atv I purchase. I hate driving to Baxter for anything, but it looks like Baxter is the closest Honda dealer. Perham isn't that much farther, maybe I'll try there. Pretty sure St Cloud has a re-vamped Honda dealer now. I did buy my machine from the "old place" in St Cloud....but big changes happened since then. Also, it seems like "The Brothers" in Baxter have (finally) got their act together on service. There was a time I would not buy from them. Never say never. Keep an open mind on Baxter......just deal with it as a somewhat busy place to get thru....lol. Most cities are like that.....or far worse. Mostly it's a weekend issue......and we also avoid it on weekends if possible. You should experience Hiway 10 in downtown Phoenix at 5 PM.....yowsir! Just gotta stay cool. lol I'll take Baxter over St. Cloud I didn't see a Honda dealer in St. Cloud actually...maybe there was one in Sauk Rapids? At any rate, Baxter is closer and I won't hear the muslim call to prayers there, so I'd go there if I decide to buy one. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at inventory, but it seemed like the place in Perham had more in stock than Baxter. For now...my '08 Suzuki is still running. I'll run it until it's dead. Maybe that's this year, maybe not.

Stu Smokin deal on a new King Quad 500 That is if they dont have some hidden freight and setup charges. Many yammie dealers tack on 1k for freight and set up on the wolverines..... For some reason, Rays in Perham does NOT have any freight and set up charges. What a racket. www.heinenmotorsports.com/ATVs-Suzuki-KingQuad-500AXi-2023-Osseo-MN-32f57104-937b-4946-95aa-b0500183a0adI got my 2020 from here. I did have a few hundred on set up if I recall, but I got mine for 5800 ish (pre tax and set up) I think in 2020. It was a new non current 2019. Edit: Suzuki has gone to plastic Fing racks like PoPo. Argh.

I seldom hear much love for Kawasaki machines. But IME they are great machines and priced quite fairly. Not sure if they make a SXS?

The one I posted is a Suzie, like Stu has now. Kawi makes side by sides.... just never see them. I forgot about the Kawasaki Mules.....lots of those were sold. Now I see they have a hard sided cab model out this year (2025 Ridge Models) with HVAC. Dont look any cheaper than a Polaris.....so not sure how they will do or what they got. A quick look shows they have a 1000 cc 4 cylinder engine. Hmmmm www.kawasaki.com/en-us/side-x-side/ridge/2-to-3-passenger/ridge/2025-ridgeEDIT: Stu.....Hilmerson in Little Falls sells Kawa's ....and I'm not sure what other brands.

I haven't been impressed with Hilmerson the handful of times I've communicated with them the last couple years. Brad H. wouldn't quote me any firm prices unless I was there in person. Every other dealer I've contacted will quote me a firm, out the door price. FWIW...I posted a link to a Kawasaki Ridge a few posts ago. They look like a great machine...for $30ish K

Thought it would be a "cold day" when I bought there.....at that time. I was going to buy a polaris 500 several years ago and the salesman I was working emailed me the out the door price. The different dealers have different rebates, taxes, assembly fees, etc., so I just wanted a clear out the door price that I would write the check out for. So I went in the next day to write out the check and the sales manager said my sales guy isn't there today, but the price he gave me was wrong. I told them I have it in writing and that I expect them to stand by what was agreed to or I'll never buy from them again. They said the number he gave me was wrong and didn't include tax, so then I left and went to the Honda dealer on the other end of town and bought the ATV I still drive daily years later. It ended up working great for me, but I was pissed for a while that they went back on their word.

On the other hand, it was probably pretty fortunate for you. You likely ended up with a much better piece of equipment. edit...every once in a while, I think I should just get a small Mule instead of an atv. For about the same money as a mid size Polaris atv I'd get something that can do quite a bit more work. www.countrycat.com/machine-inventory/new-2023-mule-sx-4x4-fi-timberline-green

Never heard of Country Cat.
Nice that they have right in the page, the price includes freight and setup. No hidden fees.

Has anyone tried the Polaris Kinetic (Electric). I need a side by side to get to my stands in Iowa (electric) quiet … as I get older . The reviews I’ve read are great.

A quick search only showed a couple Kinetics available around here. $25-$31k plus. Geez
A guy in town we know just ordered a gas Ranger 1500. He'll have damn near $50k tied up in that when hes done adding options. Just crazy
