I'm heading to tractor supply today to pick up some hog panels. We are planning on getting a few hogs this year and I've been told hog panels are the way to go. We will see how that works. Hopefully after that trip I'll spread some wood chips and maybe a little lime. A buddy raises show hogs. When you walk into his yard pigs come running up to you, circle your feet a couple of times, then kick and run off to play. They're like dogs. Even kennel themselves before dark. No panels needed. I know very little about pigs other than what my farmer friends tell me and the fact that I love BBQ pork of any kind. my kids want to get livestock of some type and I just don't want any animal I have to deal with in January when it is -35 outside. So pigs seem like a good choice since they are butchered in late fall. Based on the hog panel prices I won't make any money on hogs for a very long time. I can always use the panels for tree cages if this experiment goes downhill fast.

trailer full of hog panels. I also picked up a 15 gallon fruit tree sprayed, so it was a good shopping trip.
