It's called the dumbing down of America. I see it everywhere I go. Grocery store, hardware store, convenience store, schools, the dump. You name it. But she’s a CPA. Since this visit she has sent me a bunch of info on what a ETF is now…. To the guy that already knows and owns them. Sent me nothing about the tax difference I was looking for. What was your question?

What was your question? Are the tax consequences really less for a ETF versus the same in a mutual fund in a taxable account. They say the ETF’s pay less dividends. I don’t see it on VGT/VITAX. Vanguard says it don’t matter. That is when she hit with what is a ETF.

Unless ETF’s don’t pass along capital gains each year on the K-1. I really don’t know.
