Our corn is about half that size. I'm guessing it's not getting enough sun. The area we have it is shaded til almost noon. Will definitely have to move it next year. The squash love that area though. They are massive.

i have dug 2/3 of the potatoes. We picked beans today and pulled them. That was the second picking. My wife pickled the beets and they are gone. less things to carry water for.

This is my sweet corn patch. Well..the pines on the extreme left are mine and I get my sweet corn from my neighbor. He and his family run three sweet corn stands and supply some grocery stores. His stands just opened and he plants many varieties and over an extended time period.

Our pepper and tomato garden. I grow these separately so I can overhead water the rest of the garden. These get watered with a drip hose, helps avoid blight and other leaf diseases. The tomato cages are 5' cement wire. I'll try to remember to snap a pic of the other garden sometime.

only the single strand of tape around it? It's actually nylon rope. So far, it's kept the deer out.

One strand of rope 2 ft off the ground is deterring deer??? Holy shit It's also within about 20 yards of the front door. I hit the area with milorganite a few times this year to try and "train" the deer to stay away. I'm sure they'll figure it out sooner or later.
