Plum trees by my place in Burnsville. Aside from pulling the pits out of the raccoon poop, how should I go about grabbing these and planting them in a pot to transplant? How Long should I wait? Do you think they are viable now? Wrong thread. Sorry guys. Wait until they drop and pick up a bucket full then plant them as soon as possible under an inch of dirt. Ive had really good luck doing this.

The wife just finished canning for the year. She'd keep going, but we're out of jars and I'm not buying any more.
She has never been done canning this early, and she has never run out of jars before. Incredibly productive year for garden veggies.

Then she picked more tomatoes for another batch , tomorrow’s project.

After I typed that she was out of jars she remembered she had some in storage out in the garage. More salsa will get made this week...

Radish cover crop doing well on the garden. Most all of the lighter green stuff inside the fence is radishes.

FYI...a good spoonful of honey can temper the heat from ghost pepper infused chili. You're welcome

I’m picking the last of my tomatoes today. I am canning spaghetti sauce but read on line I should add lemon juice or vinegar as a preserve. This is salt free sauce do I need to add this? I thought the canning process was what preserved it.

I thought the canning process was what preserved it. I am no expert in canning by any means, but my understanding is that if you are canning via hot water bath the acidity from vinegar is essential for preservation. My wife always makes it abundantly clear to me that I HAVE TO BUY VINEGAR WITH AT LEAST 5% ACIDITY for her canning.

Can you please ask her if she adds it to the whole pot or to each jar individually, and how much. TY
