Rye, clover with a splash of brassicas mixed in. No, I didnt plant with the C-tine digger attached and spreading at the same time. I dug it up the with the "digger"(mind you the BEST ATV implement out there), then spread seed, and cultipacked after. No post cultipack pics available. Forgot. 2 weeks later

I have 1/3 acre of ww and brassicas about 3" tall. The only fertilizer I can find is 10-20-20. Is that even worth trying?

I use 10-10-10 on my garden and it works well. I prefer more nitrogen for brassicas if possible, but something is better than nothing.

Not much of a micro plot. It’s more of a widening of my trail. Did a throw and mow this year with rye clover brassica. Results are disappointing. Best green spot of rye is where the pine needles are thickest. Need a good heavy rain.

Another throw and mow let down. Deer grew wise to my stand on this plot so I pulled it. I now have 2 stands that will allow me to hunt down wind if the weather is from N or the South.

I think that is a good move on those tiny plots. It will give deer a brief spot to check out on their travels. Are there licking branches on the edge? Tie some down or add a rope, then hunt downwind of access trails.

Ran out to this “new” little plot I blazed into an old pasture this summer yesterday before todays rain. Gave it a shot of N and a good dose of rye. I’m hoping for a good doe spot near his buildings as he wants some deer dead this year haha.

I usually do have buck encounters though. I’m going to make my own scrape near the north stand and see if that spurs some activity.

I had 8 deer in my little 1/3 acre of WW last night. That is very rare for me. I have went whole seasons without seeing 8 deer.

I had 9 or 10 different deer stroll through this little micro plot this evening after finally getting my cell cameras out this afternoon. One buck that I would be tempted on shooting. I was hoping they would focus on the beans that are 20 yards from the plot, but the fresh shoots and acorns off to the side must be bringing them in. I will say, it's definitely working as the "pit stop" I was hoping it would be before dark, as I haven't had a pic after dark.

My little Hilltop plot is starting to fill in. No buck use but plenty of does and fawns using it.

Well here is the start of one. Was able to play with the brothers skidsteer and brush hog, cleared out a spot behind the house that was nothing but 10ft high mature sumac, I foresee many hours of picking up sticks in my future, Any plan on how to deal with the new flush of sumac sprouts?

^ That is the hardest part of opening new ground: picking up the damn sticks. I. mounted my landscape rake on the front of my tractor and it's helped to clean up log landings.......but many of those sticks look like they are still attached to the root system. If you can till it without the tiller jambing up.....that would help a whole lot.
