I am headed to my place this weekend to broadcast Urea onto my sandy soil. Just curious, what stage is your corn at now? I'm hoping mine is around V7 and ready for nitrogen. I'll have photos after my visit to the farm. I kinda feel like a dumbass asking but... what's V7?

Do you fertilize when you plant? Then again at approximately V7?

Do you fertilize when you plant? Then again at approximately V7? Yep, with my sandy soil it isn't capable of holding a full growing seasons nitrogen requirements. Unfortunately it leaches away. I fertilized when I planted and again now at about 45 days.
