I've been using it around the perimeter of our veggie garden with good success. I also used it last year to get sunflowers to maturity. I imagine it may stop working at some level of dpsm, but after this fall I doubt I'll ever have to worry about that.

Used it on sun flowers 2 years in a row. Definitely keeps the deer away. You have to re-apply about every 2 weeks to be really effective in keeping the deer away. Wife also uses it to keep the city deer from eating her flowers.

I just bought two bags today. It stinks for sure, but it helped keep them out of my beans last year!

thanks guys picked up 4 bags from fleet last night What is the price for milogranite? How much do you put down/acre. Kinda neat if it buys a little time.

Research shows 200+ lbs acre keeps deer off for around 2 weeks. Milorganite runs around $12-$15 for a 40 lb. bag, but if you watch the sales you can get it for about half that amount.

It was $7.50 a bag at fleet but I know it goes on sale for around $5 every once in awhile I saw recommendations from 240 to 80 lbs an acre on the web. My plan was to do 120/acre but I got really sick of spreading it with my little seeder so I ended up doing about 80

I wonder if my Herd spreader would work for this stuff? It would make application go pretty slick. It looks pretty fine - about the size of brassica seed?

Don't spead when it's windy as that stuff has a powder residue that can get all over you.
I think you want to make certain to stop deer from browsing untill the bean has hit a certain stage (not sure what stage) then the plant can handle browse better.

I think you will have no problem foggy, it's very pelletized and easy to spread, just takes forever with hand seeder
