Deer-pumpkin eating is a fun camera setup.

I threw out a pumpkin a week or so ago and nothing has touched it yet. KS deer are goofy.

On Sunday I stomped on a pumpkin and squashed it in. Tonight, it was totally gone! Maybe they will eat the rest?!

The deer are hitting the pumpkins by my house. We threw all of our Halloween pumpkins in my compost pile on the edge of my yard and some of them are half eaten already. The doe and fawns that make a loop through my yard every night to check out the apple tree seem to like the pumpkins. If you could somehow get the deer to leave them alone when they are growing they would make a good food source for the rut and late season.

I've dumped a couple hundred pounds of pumpkins so far this fall and the deer haven't touched a single one of them. Lots of fly's using them...

Cat, you even get accumulated snow fall down there? What is a winter like there?

Usually just a trace when we do get snow. A 3 incher is something to get excited about. A few weeks with highs around 20 is common. Lots of wind... You guys have probably already had more winter this yr than we will get all season.
