Congrats Kurt! Sucks you have to wait 4 years to bow hunt your own land. It is dumb, but I guess what I like about Iowa, is that you get all of November to archery hunt. Great rule they have there. The deer do not go lay in the middle of a swamp, they rut pretty much "rut" the whole month. Probably helps the does too, as they can have a normal breeding season, with multiple bucks chasing them. That's why I like Missouri. I get to Archery Hunt 4 months straight......every year. If I was in your shoes, I would shut down the office and hunt that whole month of Nov.

What Minnesota guy would drive all the way to Iowa to hunt deer? Anyone who could afford it and get a tag?

I am also super excited that my oldest boy will be shotgun hunting with his high school friend in Iowa this December. They are shed hunting, camera and management nuts for big bucks! We will see if they can come home with a couple of nice ones, cold weather in December is often as good or better than the rut (down in Iowa).

Are those just deer beans, or will the combine get some too?

Something unique that I have never seen in MN...this weekend while walking to our stands to trim/etc...
We kicked up two bucks bedded in the beans? I have never seen that in MN.
