awesome thank you stu, how long do you think it would take a single person to plant 250? 250 is nothing. I could do 250 in less than a day without even working hard. Part of the time required is where/how you're planting them. If you're planting in the same area and you want a thick stand, it goes really fast. If you're planting 10 here, 25 there, 15 there, etc. etc. etc. and driving/walking around a chunk of acreage then it takes much longer. You're also a hell of a lot younger than me...I bet you could do 250 in 3-4 hours (maybe even less)

I'm coming up in 2 weeks lee. I'll remind myself to get it to you then. I'll be coming up later in the spring next year to get some fishing in and it might be after ncr gets you your plugs.

I see NCR has quite a few Austrian Pine. Anyone had success with AP in MN?

Sitting in the woods in November with the leaves off of the trees motivated me to keep building up the thermal cover on my place. Just ordered 250 Black Spruce and 250 White Spruce size 4 plugs from NCR. That will be a good weekend for the boys and I next spring

I like the 6s better for little extra price... just my preference I agree Is there any preference in size based on type of soil? Or another way of saying it, do the sixes have sufficient root mass and soil medium to support the top on light soil? With bare roots, I have felt seedling conifers are a better choice on light soils(drier years) than transplants were.
