I had problems with fruit cracking on the tree with Wickson. Then the tree broke off(some dumb bunny injured it with roundup as a young tree). Wickson was ok, but there are better choices. Mine has produced pretty heavy crops the last 3 years but, I've been pulling the apples off before the bear get to them. Did you try those Wickson in your cider? I think they're the perfect size for a deer apple and mine is a heavy producer. I rarely eat any of the apples on my trees. I probably should. Lol.

I must have put a few in cider. Production seemed to go every other year after a late frost. Then I had a heavy crop and 95% of the fruit was cracked.
I much prefer chestnut and Trailman.
