By the time I filled the wood stove & cleaned off the car my hands were already in pain. I really dislike when you come back indoors and they are in pain from being so cold. No gloves? Anybody wear choppers down there?

No snow from the storm yesterday. Windchill is about -20. That made for a rather chilly walk I didn’t go ice fishing today as I didn’t want to battle the wind. My buddy went and got a 34 incher. Probably the one I saw yesterday.

6 degrees. We're firmly in "Witch's Tit" territory here.

Anybody wear choppers down there? Never heard of choppers, I only wear rubber/jersey gloves style at the woodstove. By that time I forget thats the only gloves i have on and start doing something else.

Fillet? Sushi? Bake, fry just a bit, and we mixed some with a clam chowder soup mix. The 3-6 pounders are the best to eat. Bigger fish are better baked.

These have thinsulate in addition. i just wore them while out for a walk. They are also good for a cold weather deer hunt.

Fleece lined choppers are my go to cold weather gear. Put a pair of fingerless wool gloves on first and you can be out and about in some awfully cold weather.

Hell.....lots of folks enjoy the winters.....if you change your mind you know your way south. .

So finding a place to stay once in a while won't be hard if I wanna come back 😉

Staying cool in ridiculously hot conditions is likely more difficult.

Never considered I would become a resident here. Now I are one. Still, I would not want to live here without some kinda escape from the brutal summer temps. July, August and Sept are the worst. Not sure how folks can survive here without GRID and AC.
