Anybody try burying their tool in the mud lately? Wondering if there are enough inches thawed to plant cuttings this weekend.

Could have done it before that by a week or two I’d imagine. I tried to dig a couple weeks ago and only got down 2". I need to move a camera this weekend, so I need that to be working. I'm going to try to catch the maturity cycle of rye in my spoils clover. I also wouldn't mind getting 2-3 dogwood clusters planted. I'm starting to think it might be a dud year for how dry it's getting, but the inputs are low.

I checked most of my trails and plots today. I only found a few limbs down on one plot from a dead elm that had snapped off. I did see a number of dead trees that had snapped off, but they aren't in my way. Pretty lucky given how much wind we've had the last 3 days.
