OH... he's getting the funding. No question about that. The only question is how much and for how many years.

I still think the DNR needs to have (and admit) they have an endemic plan and also a definition of a new outbreak versus extension from endemic area. We need accountability on this spending.

Since the herd has obviously grown tremendously and the deer kill is going to fall below DNR projections most likely...and more CWD positive deer have been found in SE MN (and a whole bunch of tests from other areas have yet to be completed)...who wants to bet there's a whole bunch more Intensive areas next year?

I think they’re going to have to come up with a new tactic. They really blew it when they pushed the consumption risk narrative to justify the massacre. They may have inadvertently saved more deer by turning off venison eaters. Any bets on how soon the national guard will be shooting outta choppers?

From the shooting around here, I didn't hear any "resistance" to the massacre. Nobody around here is talking about CWD and being worried about eating venison. SOBs are way more concerned with how many lbs of polish sausages they can make out of the trim.

Hopefully this is true Maybe the same news source that reported no CWD from the deer collected opening weekend?

Probably, but they don't report anything that the DNR doesn't tell them word for word. In this situation I hope that is the case

Propaganda!!...it wins the minds and hearts.
My guess is they were referring to the data collection process. They have their answer...CWD is rampant in SE MN. Now they will formulate and execute the plan....They are going to kill with vengeance make no mistake about it. Publicly and/or privately. This strategy is the only hope of containing the spread from the SE to the rest of the state.
