My plan... Ordered bees wax from Amazon and will dip the ends in that. Rebag it with a tiny bit of moist paper towel. Put it in a soft sided cooler in the unheated garage until it warms up. Then I just put an ice pack in with it. This worked to keep my scion good until June last year. Before there were refrigerators the old timers used to bury them in a snow bank. I was considering burying a cooler in the snow on the north side of the garage. Switch to ice packs later.

I struggle with storage every year. I will probably try something like Small Chunk as our fridge has apples and fruit in it. I have the beeswax and paraffin to dip ends like Carl says. Is that what you used last year?

I'll wax each one individually so they don't all stuck together. The wax is still warming up though, so I haven't done anything yet though

There were 2 or 3 scions of each variety per variety so I left them banded up by variety and dipped them in wax that way.
I'm very impressed by the quality of the scions. They look way better than the ones I cut myself last winter.

Saweet! I probably won’t use all of the scion from the wood they sent. If you see something from the list I got from them that you want to try, let me know and I can send you the leftovers!
