That NW Greening doesn't look like FB to me, at least not now. Scorched leaf margins could be a number of things, environmental stress of some sort would be my first guess. I've got a good sized swamp crab here, so I'm good on cuttings...but thanks Have you tried to root them? I haven't. I did try it with a bunch of Antonovka and b118 cuttings this year and have about 40% success. Not bad, not awesome.

Art,
I don't think that's fireblight either. If it is then the tree is showing good resistance to it.

I've seen similar units discussed by fruit growers. I believe those units are for soft wood or leaf cutting propagation. That would probably be fun to mess around with, but I'm not interested enough to spend that much money

I've got 4 varieties in my cart at GRIN right now. I can still delete them though I don't need any scions, I don't need any scions, I don't need any scions....

I have about nine places prepped for apples and some rootstock in the ground I could top work. I would like to try Goodland, wodarz, Golden Russet, plus I have those three seedlings to move out of the garden next spring and put somewhere. Would also like Bilodeau crab. What seeds should I plant this fall? Maybe Almata and Kinderkrisp open pollinated. So Stu, what is in the order box?

Ordering from GRIN should result in scions not winter damaged though I emptied my cart. I had a few crabs and a couple late droppers I hadn't heard of before. I may put in an order yet, but I really should just focus on what I have.

I could purchase a Goodland and wodarz locally, probably on dolgo which I like. I could also get Goodland scion from the guy who gave me the Norland.

My grafting success was very poor this year. I'm not sure why but, it was mostly top working. I've still got 50 or so trees at home waiting on me to clear land for them for next spring. I can't wait for December to come so I can start dropping more trees. I ended up with 2 cord firewood for the in-laws, 4 cord at home, 10 at the camp, and we gave away another cord. It'll take another year of cutting that much to clear enough area to get those trees in the ground.

Has GRIN always asked for a carrier account number? I must have never read far enough down the page. Couldn't stop myself. We'll see if I receive any without giving them a carrier account #

I’ve got some Anaros but no fruit yet. I need to look for Jonsib, but know I tried a few years ago.
I just read on another forum that Waubay tasted pretty decent.
