Sweet 16 is my favorite eating apple. But I like sweet. I've also only been able to try it once in 10 years. Coons love the damn thing too unfortunately. Me too. Sour/bitter/tannic apples just aren't that tasty to me

I can’t say I like the bitters but do like the sharp taste of certain crabs. Chestnut, Trailman, and centennial come to mind. Dolgo and Kerr for applesauce and jellly.

I'd put Centennial firmly in third compared to the other two. Flavor and texture wise, I think of Chestnut as more of a small apple than a crab.

Me too. Sour/bitter/tannic apples just aren't that tasty to me So you're not a George Washington hard cider fellow? I'm not a fan of any true hard ciders. They taste like champagne to me. I'd rather have a Busch Light apple or Reds Apple ale

The Dolgos and Droptine got it worst. I called him today and told him what was up. Aside from getting a new renter, of which there are may around, I don't know what else I'll do. I don't have pictures of the garden, but the peas took the brunt of it. On the bright side, all the broadleaf weeds in the grass around the garden are turning yellow too. The garden is ~150 yards South of the field he sprayed. I was out there tending my trees while he was spraying. I remember thinking, "boy, the breeze is blowing right towards us. I guess he knows that and knows what he's doing." He got the garden a few years ago too.

I’d maybe be asking him to call ahead in the future and I’d be covering the trees with a plastic bag or something. Can’t imagine it won’t happen again if it’s happened previously and now. I’d be pissed

Guy must not be using drift retardant? I called him today and he said, "That's hard to believe. I used drift retardant." But the breeze was about 5MPH blowing directly from the field to my trees, then across the creek and to my garden. I forgot to ask him what it was exactly that he sprayed. It's too late at this point. I'll just keep them watered and see what happens I guess. I said, "whatever you did, it didn't work." He replied, "I'm sorry. I'll try to do better." sigh.
