What's the roof plan for this ground blind?
6x6 is a nice size.

What's the roof plan for this ground blind? 6x6 is a nice size. Just a simple plywood roof with a little arch in it. Set a 2x4 on edge in the center. A couple flat halfway between center and edge. Screw down flush to the very outside edge. If I can get my hands on some ice and water dam, I’ll put that over my seem.

Stuff is looking pretty good (even if it is slave labor from a dictator cat). How do you pin all this stuff down? Seems like a lot of wind catchers.

It’s held at each corner with 10 gauge wire and a 16” corkscrew anchor. Still need to add a few more and some other things to keep it pinned down. That was also part of the idea of the 2x8’ chunk of plywood on the back. It would catch half the wind and deflect it upward and use that force to push the stand down.

If you can link your system to the Ditch you can get water power when it rains. Likely blow the whole grid there would be so much power?

Back to the chairs....... I have gotten several free office chairs at rummage sales and paid but a few dollars for others. Just make sure they dont squeak. LOTS of old office chairs out there. Craigs list is your friend. I do keep a folding chair for a second chair in one of my blinds. Works quite well.....and its out of the way for a single hunter.

I've got a couple brand new boat seats and pedestals. I've been half kicking around putting them in the first blind. What I can't come to terms with is having them in a fixed position. If I'm alone in there, I want to be able to center myself.

^ I'd keep those chairs movable. Never a perfect position to fasten them down.....IMO......and things change YOY too. Plus you dont have enough power to keep running those battery tools. .

Agree 100% with foggy here. Don't tie yourself down with fixed chairs.

Should be in business.
