I've got a couple brand new boat seats and pedestals. I've been half kicking around putting them in the first blind. What I can't come to terms with is having them in a fixed position. If I'm alone in there, I want to be able to center myself. Build a plywood/2x4 base and put some casters on the bottom. Movable chair. Thin carpet on blind floor. Or truck bed liner. Should be in business. OR....JUST SAVE allot of time and expense and buy some used office chairs? .

Bob, solar should have been working yesterday as I wasn’t far from your blind.
Do you have to put up with these solar discussions all week? Actually have power in that apartment or just homemade candles?
Do you make Chris carry out the litter box leftovers and empty the plastic throne from that apartment?

You just ruined part of the Ozone with those spray cans......where is your sense of responsibility for the climate man?? You could have easily applied that paint with a brush. .....and now, you will need the grid to re-charge those ni-cad batteries. ROFLMAO. . And.....it does make me wonder if those 2x2's were cut with power or by hand saw. Methinks the former was employed. Dis-engenous purveyor of grid-free power. Some would say "Bullschmidt". . You can't save 'em all. . 100%? Reeeeally??? . You flipping solar guys crack me up. Hmmm... 1. The overall effect on the ozone from those two cans pales in comparison to the waste of idle loads from things we leave plugged in year round and barely use. 2. They are 2x3’s. 3. Got it done without being hooked up at camp. 4. Also built this without grid power at camp. Look at these compound cuts we made on site with the chainsaw. I’d like to have my guys use an excavator to plant trees, but like grid power, it isn’t necessary. I like the A frame design, looks like you have capacity for additional pannels. What percent do you lose in transmission?

Do you plan to add a panel to your blind so you can run a IPad/cell phone or other devise for the day?
If you did an all day sit it would be nice to have backup power.

Not too bad, but he mutters about orange tractors and bench grinders in his sleep. We have grid here, but don't use much. Keep'n it real. I get my litter box emptied every few days. If it gets overdue, I'll just start flinging litter all over hell until the job gets done.

That array as is can kick out way more power than I use in a day or even 3 in the summer. My usage runs about 25-30 amps/day and I can probably kick out 100 on it's best day. Probably won't add power to the blind, unless daisy chaining camera systems get better. Then I could see a panel getting installed. For now, power is portable enough with a booster pack. One of these guys will get you 2-3 charges before it needs to be recharged itself.

Bob,
Do you have any design plans or photos of how the roof is going to be for the hut? What type of roofing are you going to use?

Bob, Do you have any design plans or photos of how the roof is going to be for the hut? What type of roofing are you going to use? Roof is already on there. 1/2" treated plywood with a little arc in it. Stand a 2x4 on edge in the center. Couple 2x4 flat halfway between center and edge. Screw down flush to the edge with about a 2" overhang.

Koochy likey.

I don't get far enough from the power plant to have to need more than that little battery pack Bob posted. I originally bought that for boat fishing. The Navionics app would eat serious battery during a day of fishing.
