Good to be a free range, multiple paddock, heritage bread, contract pig farmer. Saw this bs coming awhile ago. Private rec land for the enjoyment of the outdoors, here in mn, will be completely controlled by the MN dnr. And the land values will drop like a brick

The Outdoor News should be intesting in the next few months. I just for the life of me cannot figure out how these people can make decisions like this and feel like they are doing the right thing.

The folly is in expecting them to do the right thing. Those people have long ago been replaced by industry insiders and yes men. This is why you see a revolving door between the DNR, the non-profits, state government, industry, and media. DNR sent Brooks' brother Mark from the DNR to MDHA, and then back to run LSOHC.

The vast majority of MN deer hunters won't give two shits about the changes. Heck, most won't even know there are any changes until a day or two before season.

That really sucks guys. To have so much money, time and effort stuck into these properties and to have government basically destroy the heard is hard to swallow. The goobermint will not destroy their deer herd, the fucking goober, Fudd-assed hunters will destroy their deer herd. The goobermint is just making it easily accessible for the Fudd's to do it.

My place is 3 deer. Does that mean 3 bucks? Christ is that bullshit. This looks more like an attempt to kill the tradition of deer hunting then manage a herd. I wonder what this will mean to harvest numbers? It looks like you can only shoot 1 buck per season in 240. That's how I read this. www.dnr.state.mn.us/hunting/deer/deer-season-faq.htmlGo to the last question on the list. "How many deer can I legally tag per Year"

Every hunter there can shoot one buck and two antlerless deer if they buy the bonus permits.

If you read the 2019 regs food plots could already be claimed as illegal.

If you read the 2019 regs food plots could already be claimed as illegal. Get the wrong CO and I could see tickets being written for hunting over foodplots. I think a guy could beat it in court, but it would probably cost you more in legal fees than the ticket would cost.

On page 75 it says that wildlife food plantings are not baiting and are legal, so I'm not too concerned at least this year.

They claim baiting privatizes the resource. Wait for it.
