Kill it as fast as you can at any cost. Don't use gly, it will only kill it's competition. The only thing I know that takes care of it in an ag setting is Liberty Link (glufosinate) or a generic. I don't see a way to kill the PW and keep your brassica's. The irony is that you may have to resort to beans to keep this weed under control, and I know that you are tired of beans. Conversely, deer LOVE to eat pigweed and it's presumably high in protein, but there is no amount of nutrition or attraction worth having pigweed though.
Maybe Mo know's of a chemical besides Liberty...

Pigweed was always ok by me. Your plot looks really yellow or is it just the picture?

Pigweed/Lambsquarters/Waterhemp...it's a bitch. I don't have an answer. I have decided the only way I can get that shit under control is to convert those annual plots to perennial plots.
edit...If a guy wants to spend the $$$ it seems like IMOX(Raptor) may be the answer.

Can I buy Liberty Link locally and apply this stuff.......or do I need a license? MO??
Would mowing the tops off the plant reduce or encourage re-seeding??? I gotta do something this week as I am gone the following week. grrrrrrrrrr

I gotta do something this week as I am gone the following week. grrrrrrrrrr The sprayer got you here. I don't think it's gonna remedy the situation. Other than going 100% chemical control, I think you're gonna have to convert this back to a living multi-species planting and let it run it's course. Who knows if Joe Plotter has access to all the pre-emerge and post emerge chemicals to beat the stuff? Even if you do, odds are pretty good you'll have so much residual built up in the soil you won't be able to grow deer forages after. I'd till it under and convert it to a solid stand of rye with a little red clover and chicory. The southerners have had good luck suppressing pigweed with a solid stand of rye. But even after that, you can't go back to the practices that brought it to you in the first place.

Foggy, mowing or clipping can buy you a little time, but mowed plants will still come back with seed. Tillage can kill it but discing tends to leave some still rooted that will survive. I forget, do you have a tiller for your tractor? I would think a tiller would be good at getting EVERYTHING uprooted. You may have to go that route anyway. I can't tell from the pic but your plants may be somewhat tall, even Liberty herbicides aren't that effective once the plant is mature. Best to spray when it's small. Looks like you may be going towards exactly what sd said above with the tillage and rye.
I sincerely hope you have a different strain than we do down here. We can't even buy RR beans here anymore. This spring when I asked for a bag my seed guy said it'll have to be special order as he just doesn't carry roundup stuff anymore.

We have pigweed problems too so this year we sprayed early and often with roundup and it is working.
Moving more to alfalfa and mow and throw in the areas we don’t plant to corn. Haven’t figured out how to mow and throw corn effectively yet. Too cheap to buy a notill planter

FWIW...my pigweed/lambsquarters/water hemp is apparently not the roundup resistant type (yet anyway).
Also...I don't think the stuff will "run it's course". If you let a field of that shit produce and set seed, you'll have it around pretty much for perpetuity. Deer do browse all of the pigweed family here, so I guess if you want to let it go it does have some value (until the first frost anyway)

Even the most stubborn old farmers have relented to it and changed their program. Gly was so much cheaper!

I have a small plot (around 1/4 acre) that has been full of pigweed and waterhemp for a few years now. I sprayed it 3-4 times last year (each time the weeds got around 5"), then planted it to oats and radish in late August. I still ended up with a few pigweed and waterhemp escapes. This year I sprayed it 3 times and planted it to a clover/chicory mix with just a bit of brassicas thrown in for fall attraction. I spent about 15 hours pulling pigweed and waterhemp last week...and likely have at least that many hours of hand weeding left. Seems crazy, but I'm just not willing to let all that shit set seed. I have no idea where all the seed came from, but I strongly suspect it came in a bag of cheap bin run winter rye.

Certified seed only for me, it's too expensive not to.. I've also spent a significant amount of time pulling both marestail and pigweed. I can't let one go to seed!
