Are those top two bucks the same deer? That's a really nice buck with good mass and dark antlers. He should be easy to ID next year. That bottom buck is also a nice one that will be really good next year.

My neighbor and I have been looking at pics of 10s this year trying to figure out if we have 1, 2, or more of them running around. I've settled on at least 2.

Those three pics are along a trail I made that follows the edge of the swamp. A bit less than 100 yards from the house. I believe I saw the second ten chasing a doe this fall, but I never got a shot.

Stu--can you do a man made funnel/chainsaw tree drop... along that swamp edge and put up a wind friendly stand in that area? For archery?

I can't make the funnel super restricting though. If I do, the bucks simply move deeper into the tamaracks/tags/sedge/cattails. I've been working on getting the bucks to use my trail instead of trails deeper into the swamp. Some restriction is okay, too much is negative. This October, my wife and I watched one of the 10 pointers standing about 5 yards from that stand. It's easily seen from the house. I should have been in that stand, but....I wasn't

I’d think that tree would be a staging area for them to check coming out of that swamp.

If I can get the bucks to leave the swamp, I have better chances at shooting them. That said, there is a wild apple tree (I think it's an apple and not a crab, it hasn't fruited yet) about 100 yards pretty much due north of this set up. I'm working on a stand set up there, but don't have it quite figured out yet.

I backtracked two buck tracks on Tuesday from the apple trees on the lawn of the camp back .8 mile to the central part of my land. They traveled right on my open trails for 1/2 the way. They went there to get late season pickings and to check for does. Probably travel was at night though. I’d graft some of my NH Red Deer crabs onto that tree so it holds late season.

This buck walked by my Spypoint Link cell camera last night, in Pope County/MN. Never seen him before.

All of my young bucks made it through season. I found 3 spots on the fence where bucks squared off with bucks on the outside. May run some camera next year to see what is outside.
