Very few shots down here during rifle season so far. May have something to do with the rifle season being one week later than normal and the big deer are in lock down this week. If that is the case and all these big bucks get another year to get bigger? ?? Could be one hell of a year next year for deer hunting in Northern Missouri!

Gun season will start in December. Won't get pics of survivors until basically January.

WI starts tomorrow. Pretty mild weather. Tons of crops still up. Drove across the state on Hwy 33 Wednesday to Saukville and there's corn/beans up everywhere.

Our gun season is only half over. 6 week season through the entire rut really help to get older bucks. Survivors will be few.

This guy is a regular and he made it ... in Otter Tail County Nice big bodied deer. Looks like he is nocturnal which should keep him alive. Do you run cameras all year or do you pull them at some time?

Pull the cameras in January. We do keep some in Iowa in the spring for updates on turkeys (Art’s favorite species)

Not good on the cams at all by Dads house. Farm by my Dads, last card pull was day before rifle. We got a grand total of 1 buck on cam from Nov 8 to today. This is the same farm my son was seeing upwards of 20+ deer a night, and the most bucks he saw on one sit was 13. (Note: to clarify, his sightings are whats in view from the stand. So some deer he sees are on the far side of the field and such). But the cameras were bloated with pics all fall.
Our farm, last cam check was 3-4 weeks ago depending on where the cam was located. Looks to be some deer around. Handful of yearling bucks, a couple 2 year old 8's, and an 8 that would likely have been shot, but his left antler is broken off at the base now. I have a 2 year old that is doing the Docey Do with a fox of all things. That fox wanted a piece of him. There is no visible wound, but I got several pics of the fox antognizing the buck. Then over the next several days, I have more pics of coyotes, foxes, skunks than I have all fall COMBINED..... I think we have a dead deer on the ridge right behind our barn. I called Dad to have him go for a walk on that ridge tomorrow. One pic of a small coyote, sure looks like something in its mouth, but images are too blurry.... Dammit if only it was a Reconyx.
