50% lower population for 215 is the MNDNR recommendation. Here comes early antlerless It looks like most of the people who went to the meeting wanted fewer deer. Are the hunters in your area saying there are too many deer?

Pretty much to a man that I've spoken with, yes. It isn't there are too many deer, it's there are too many does

Here is one of the goal setting metrics they were going to use. First picture is hunters and lower picture landowners. Public meetings were another and online surveys were the third. I requested the online surveys from Keller. Be interesting if nobody shows from 215, and both surveys ask for increases, and the DNR opts 50% decrease.

^^^why is that interesting? The DNR was going to recommend a 50% decrease no matter what hunters said.

Thanks Lee, a 25% reduction is a slight reduction. I wonder what a large reduction is?
I wonder what that means for tags? Hunters still need to shoot the deer.

As CWD spreads, we will find out what a large reduction is. I don't know how much control the DNR has over the deer herd. Hunters still need to shoot the deer and in my area hunters aren't going to shoot 3 or 5 deer. Farmers might not like deer but most aren't going to let sharp shooters or hunters on their Property.

Government lands will get hit hard, by either hunters or sharpshooters. I don’t think any funding for cwd was passed yet. Probably all thrown together as omnibus for a special session.

Every year there seems to be fewer and fewer. How many years in a row can a person sit and see nothing?
