This would be a good time to add bedding cover to your land. Either hinge cutting some undesirable trees or possibly planting some patches of corn and let the weeds take over the corn plot.

I imagine there will be more illegal deer shot in some areas with increasing meat prices and much work not being started up again.

Over the past 30 years, by far, my best neighbors have been cows. At this stage in life there’s no way I could live with neighbors closer than 100 yards.

While working this spring. I found a stand on my line. According to Onyx it’s actually on my property. Ironically I know the kid shot a 220 lb. (field dressed) 10 on the property last fall in early November. Nice buck. First issue is how accurate is Onyx, second, he got shooting lanes cut to 30 yds on my side. I think I’ll call him first, plan B would be to hinge cut the crap out of that area... or you guys feel that could be worse?

Unfortunately, I am usually not able to be calm and rational when it comes to property line issues. That is why I didn't even consider buying acreage that hadn't been surveyed and staked. Good luck

Law told me the system gives him a 50 yard buffer unless you know where the property markers are.

Good luck It has been surveyed, but the corners are not close to this area. The owner works with my son, it is the nephew that has the stand. I think I'll just call him. That is how we knew about the nice buck. It is what it is. Sounds like "sit during the rut bow stand". We have a stand now, abut 125 yds away. Some hinge cut will be done in that area eventually.

I just take the stand down and throw it on their property. If it goes up again, the tree comes down. They get the hint.

It has been my experience that things like that generally get worse with time. I've also heard that it is very hard to get a trespassing or poaching conviction unless it is black and white. I would consider clearly marking the property line with a fenceline if possible or at least a bunch of fence posts and no trespassing signs.
Calling him is the right thing, but having a clearly marked boundary may prevent it from happening again.

I do so with one neighbor.

I don't think I would share a stand with him, this is clearly on the line, I think he knows it. I'll call him. Here is the Onyx.
