Down another 2 lbs. This will be the last of my weekly postings. I think I'm about were I need to be. Down 52 lbs from were I started. Still a little extra fat in places but I think it might just need some time at this weight. Now I just need to maintain it.

21 weeks in, still maintaining 175-180 range. Slow start to new goal of 170-175 range. Eating the entire cake wasn't as bad as I thought. Yesterday was a lazy day, not much exercising so calorie burn was very low compared to most days. We have 2 treadmills, yesterday the wife's started chirping. Bearing on tail roller goin out so it's down till I get it fixed. We normally do a 10-11 mile bike ride in the AM, 45 minute treadmill afternoons and anther 10-11 mile ride in the evenings. She'd rather walk than bike so I'll be doing 3 bike rides a day till her treadmill is back up and running. Should be running by Wed.

Week 22, had a spike but then good results. Goal now to maintain it between 170-175.

I think this will be the last of my weekly post. I'm at week 23 and still maintaining in my goal range of 170-175 lbs. As you can see from the threads Good Eats and Griddle cooking I'm not lacking on eating good stuff. It was a lot of work to get to this point and I plan to stay here.

As you can see from the threads Good Eats and Griddle cooking I'm not lacking on eating good stuff. It was a lot of work to get to this point and I plan to stay here. Well done man. That was an impressive shift. 23 weeks is enough to declare it a habit change.

But luckily I have a few old ones that were kept for some reason till the new get here. My XL shirts are now baggy where they were on the tight side before.

Interesting Ted talk on diet, weight loss and diabetes. Good video. I watched it all the way through. It reminded me of an audio book I listened to about 8 years ago. When I arrived in South Dakota, I was 29 and in bad shape. A change of scenery and change of supervisors helped (my new boss was serving time in Arizona for a hit a run and the company covered it up). I got onto the book Wheat Belly. I had a lot of up and down the interstate and gobbled it up pretty quick. Interesting take on the history of wheat, chromosome manipulation to make it shorter, higher yielding, less likely to lodge, and disease resistant. Anyway, doctor from Milwaukee was working on the same stuff. Changing diets away from grains and over to a diet rich in plant fiber, natural fats, and quality proteins. His diets greatly reduced insulin needs, arthritis, insomnia, heartburn, and all the other shit most of us deal with in some form or another. If you're an audio booker, I'd give this a listen.

Still maintaining weighed in at 172.8 this morning. 4 or 5 months ago while I was in the lose weight mode, popcorn was 2 maybe 3 cups without butter. Last night's snack was a big ass bowl of popcorn loaded with REAL butter.

Been a while since I posted but I'm still maintaining between 170 and 175. This AM I was 172.6, and I'm eating the hell out of my smash burgers covered with hash browns.
