i killed a Boone and Crockett rabbit tonight that had horns like an antelope. No joke either- it actually had horns like a doe antelope. I thought I was something special until my dad shot a 5 point rabbit 5 minutes later. Holy crap, that's cool as hell! It's a STD! Pappillomavirus. I would be collecting them on a string like turkey spurs. I thought it was cool when I shot mine and i sent pictures to my buddies. Most thought I was joking despite the fact they know I have no idea how to photoshop anything. After hunting my boys and i were cutting brush and I found a rabbit my dad shot at but we assumed he missed. No tracking snow made follow up tracking almost impossible. When that rabbit had 5 points I figured something was wrong and a Google search told me we have some dirty rabbits here. I was torn between burning the carcasses and mounting them and selling guided trophy rabbit hunts.

They are definitely on night time movement. Nothing seen Deer are nocturnal here as well according to my trail camera this weekend. We need some cold and snow to change things. I have seen this pattern for years now and way before I fenced my property. They have everything they need in that 25acre piece of habitat. Amazing how many deer that piece can hold. Cold may bring them out to feed earlier but without snow cover i belive im f*cked

When we get snow do u have a drone to survey the property of what all might be there? No idea how feasible that is

Bedding and food being close together sucks here for late season (after rut), I imagine it's worse there. Anything you can do to up the odds? Drop some trees for browse a mile down the road?

Hahahahah Can you plant in August for December? (Assuming subliminal feeding means baiting per regulations and no hunting). I bet you can catch as many pounds of fish as you could freezer deer.

I sat tonight as well. A doe and two fawns had to be bumped out of the field by where I wanted to set up (ground set). I ran out of light by the time they worked back and at closing time they were still about 60 yards away.....bastards!

i'm on stand tonight for the first cwd hunt. Most of my food is gone, but based on the tracks at least a few deer are picking through what is left. It should be a nice night to sit, but I'd be shocked to see the big one I am after. There was a fresh scrape 20 yards from my stand, but it was a youngster based on the track in the snow.

Just sent this picture to Kelly and she is not happy.
Her exact quote was 'Passing that buck is akin to having 4 households together for Christmas. Its simply wreckless of Ben let that prion factory walk. I could give 2 shits if he even looks for blood, but put an arrow in that son of a bitch you white supreme loving masoginist!'

If my boys were with me they also would have been pushing for that deer's death. They want to shoot every single deer they see when we hunt.
Most of the night I have been thinking how I can improve things more than actually paying attention to hunting. At about 3 I decided a cedar I left in my plot needs to go since it competes with my food plot. Then an hour later the only deer of the night so far walks directly to that tree and gives it a good sniff while paying no attention to me 50 yards away. I change my mind and the tree stays.

You could likely kill that terrible invasive and retain the allure?
