The way it was explained to me the second Moderna booster had to be given after 28 days. The first Moderna shot is over 80% efficient long term. The second shot brings it up to 95%. The Pfizer is less efficient after one dose but, goes up to 95% after the second dose. They did recommend the second shot within 42 days but, that’s not going to happen in NH now that they’ve ramped things up. I’ll be at 56 days instead of 42. Not much I can do. Thank you for the explanation. I assume we can blame Biden for the second dose not being available at the designated time as many would have blamed Trump in the past. In al truth, I feared this would happen once they stopped holding vaccine for the second dose. Experts on the radio said they felt vaccine will give more long term immunity than natural infection. However when vaccine boosters are given at the proper time, the levels change, plus individual differences in response. Carl, I think it is good you got the vaccine. In general, I am very skeptical that the situation for the country is understood by anyone. Each state is in charge of their game plan for distributing the doses they receive. Don't forget that NH National Guardsmen were down in DC sleeping in parking garages until our governor decided enough was enough so he brought them home. I'm not sure if the hold up is manpower or lack of doses or both? That situation could be entirely different in other states. For instance, New York lost doses due to not getting them distributed in time. They're taking care of NYC before they are helping upstate folks. All due to Cuomo's decisions.

Went to the Gym this morning for a workout and chatted with some of the older fellas in the Gym. Several had gotten their Vaccine. I understand they had to apply to get their time slot and then the state sent them a certificate of vaccination or something like that. When they went to get their shot they were told to hold onto the certificate as in the future there was a good chance they would need that to get into public places.
What that means I don't know but I would guess control of the herd is coming.

They're gonna have to work a whole lot harder than blacklisting before they get me. The Jackie Chiles of the world will be chomping at the bit to get famous.

DTaP, IPV, MMR, and Varicella are mandatory in all 50 states (and DC) for entry into public schools. The mandate precedence is already set, but it resides with each state and not the Feds.
This is straight from the fact sheet for Moderna: "The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine is a vaccine and may prevent you from getting COVID-19. There is no U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved vaccine to prevent COVID-19."
We could very well see the government mandate vaccination for a unapproved vaccine (per their own standards). I kind of doubt it will happen through a mandate, but through financial leverage instead. Cutting funding, loss of job, etc. Much like their plan to tax guns out of the general population instead of changing the Constitution.

Got my 1st Moderna Covid vaccine this morning. No different than any other shot I have gotten. Very well organized. I got My frozen one yesterday at Theda Care out in 21 Minutes including walk to car. Arm is quite tender today. The have their act together and have second dose in 3 weeks scheduled. Many times available. Went to the kids B&B for wonderful Repast and to the sawbones this am for my brides in grown toenail. Hell to get old. Time to get to work changing hydraulic hose on skid steer. Live is a bitch when you get old. This next week we are going to have a century birthday bash with my grand daughter who turns 25 and this old fart and I have been brain washed an can not figure how old I will be.

Most of what I've been reading says at least annual boosters will be "recommended" at some point in the relative near future. I don't think the 'rona is going away, just like influenza.

Good to see they're continuing on with MK-7110 and MK-4482, not to be confused with MK-Ultra which was supposedly ended in 1973.

It should be noted that if you read the article they were referring to the vaccines that Merck was developing.
