Just picked up a cultipacker from Northern Tool. Won't have to pack plots w/ the atv tires next year! I had originally ordered one from Tractor Supply end of June. After 3 months of bullshit excuses I finally told them to fuck off and cancel the order. Couple weeks ago I was perusing the Northern Tool site and saw they had them in stock w/ free ship to store. Said fuck it and took another chance. Card finally got billed the other day and got the call/email this morning that it was at the store. Glad to add to my plotting arsenal. Now I have to find time this weekend to try and get it put together. I bought a 4' homemade cultipacker from a guy on the old Q forums quite a few years ago. I had to have a bit of welding done on it a few years ago, but other than that it has served me well. Sure beats the hell out of driving around in circles forever on an atv. I have a homemade one filled with used oil for weight. I haven’t used it in a few years. Occasionally someone borrows it.

I am considering buying MOST of my seeds now for 2022. From my experience this year.....I am quite sure how I plan to plant at two times in 2022. Once in June when I will plant these seeds over 10 total acres: Summer Seeds (all from Green Cover Crop) Drill in Mid June1. 25 # / acre Warm Season Mix (5 - 50# bags = $317.50) 2. 25 # / acre Buckwheat ( 5 - 50# bags = $187.50) 3. 10 # / acre Sunflower. (2 - 50# bags = $65.00) (To the above I will add in some existing inventory of Impact forage collards, Sugar Beets, Soy beans) Total seeds cost outlay for June Planting = $ 570.00Fall Seeds (all from Green Cover Crop) Drill in Late Aug / early September1. 100#/acre Cereal Rye Elbon. 20 - 50 # bags @ $14. / bag = $280.00 2. 10# /acre Brassica Plus Release 2 - 50# bags @ $128.00 = $254.00 (To the above add current stock of clover, GHR, and collards) Total Seed Cost outlay for August Planting= $534.00Total Cost for 2022 = $1104 (plus some existing seeds) Hopefully low fertilizer and herbicide costs. Have they quoted shipping for you on that amount of bags yet? Called GCC this morning and told him of the above. !700 lbs. He is getting me prices on the seeds and shipping to my Deertopia. should know soon. He said it could all go on one skid......and I told him to put the rye on the bottom. I'm sure the freight will be some $$ but running all over creation is not free either. Will post the deal when I know the answers.

Yup, this is a 4' version. So same width as the tiller. A few passes w/ this vs numerous ones using the atv tires 6" at a time. Might even help the throw and pray areas I do too.

Do you want to lump some seed into my order and come after it? Could be done. They do sometimes arrange a drop point nearby to other folks.....so people can combine orders. That would be nice. There would still be time to do this. I think some seeds are in short supply....so he was going to try to get my blends together. (some was sold out)

We really should set up a date for a Habitat Co-op seed buy from them each spring and fall. Could ship all to a single location. Everyone pay up front and have order in by a certain date. They have allot of seed choices that are hard to find.

Great. All corn! Your no fun. . I would just tell you guys they did some substitutions on your order. Just a reminder here about the north country planting schedule. Spring plantings end on July 3. Take the day off and celebrate. Fall plantings begin on July 5. If you need anymore JPS wisdom, just ask. If I don’t know, I just make up a story.
