. I would just tell you guys they did some substitutions on your order. Just a reminder here about the north country planting schedule. Spring plantings end on July 3. Take the day off and celebrate. Fall plantings begin on July 5. If you need anymore JPS wisdom, just ask. If I don’t know, I just make up a story. You ain't even in the North. You are correct. The center of the state is supposed to be in Crow Wing State Park. I suspect there is only one planting season in your country. Whenever you can get it done.

Yep.....after last year I have sworn off corn forever. Bad luck for me.....expensive inputs and draws coons and bears.

If I'm reading that right, it seems you're getting close to a ton of seed shipped? If so, $250 doesn't seem too bad to me

I dont like paying freight.....but I sure dont like driving all over the place to get the seed either. I took the deal.....and the shipment is underway. I talked to them about setting up some kind of a shipping point near Little Falls MN. Just about everyone in the northern 1/2 of MN would be able to pick up from a location like this. If someone would run a warehouse with two shipments / month....I would think they could do a pretty fair biz. Not sure how profitable it could be....but it could be busy. Grin.

Don't have to buy the majority of my seeds needed for planting. Picked up today for free, enough RR sugar beet seed to plant 7 acres. Farmer also gave me 1000 lbs of last years RR soybean seed for my plots. Very generous of him, much appreciated. I will only have to purchase small quanities of misc. seed for plots.

95% of the seeds I'll need have been sitting in the spare bedroom for months now. Not looking forward to buying fertilizer however.

It's his way of helping. I used to work for him, I'm retired and only time I took off was in fall for those hunts, and he wanted to help.
