You guys are hard core dunking your cloths. I just put in a spray bottle and dampen the clothes paying extra attention to openings (collar, Cuffs, waist)

I do the same as kabic. And it works great.

I dunked last year. When I worked up a good sweat I felt like I was swamped in poison. Went back to a spray with it being heaviest at the openings and haven’t had any tick problems this year. This also makes a bottle last longer.

I spray it down good and then freshen it up every now and then. Muck boots with pants tucked in as much as possible as well. Those in combo seem to have eliminated them the past two years.

This is the first year I've dunked. Previous years I sprayed.

I am here to report that wasps dont like permethrin. There are two twitching on my front porch right now.
One of their friends tried to sting me when i went out to get the mail. They thought that may be a good place to set up shop. We will have to see if any come back and die from the lingering affects of my chemical warfare.

I suspect I wasn't the first, but I got had two ticks climbing on me this weekend. One yesterday was a woodtick, and this morning I had a deer tick.

Ticks are out in full force down here. I found one on my hand. My dog had several. We give him some medication that kills them when they attach. I need to see if permethrin can be sprayed on a dogs coat. He carried a dozen into the cabin.

Plenty of ticks this yr. Had one latch onto my armpit 2 weeks ago that left me itching for a week. Need to get our clothes sprayed!

Found 2 deer ticks on my pants this morning. Went looking for my bottle of permethrin then remembered I used it up last year. Just ordered another jug.

You guys are hard core dunking your cloths. I just put in a spray bottle and dampen the clothes paying extra attention to openings (collar, Cuffs, waist) ^ This is all I have ever done. At first I bought the Sawyer spray cans.....then mixed my own permethrin and put into a spray bottle to save considerable money. Spray a day before use....let dry overnight. Spray heavy around zippers, cuffs, buttons, and collars. No issues. I generally treat my clothes everytime I have them washed.....and keep them in a small plastic closet in the garage that has our permethrin clothes inside. Works great. I sometimes remember to spray my UTV and tractor cab too....even spray around the 3 point where I connect stuff. I hate ticks. MO sells some stuff that I have used to treat the grounds around my shed and cabin. I used my FIMCO sprayer to apply. I wear a respirator mask when appleying that chit. Sounds nasty on the lable. Cant remember the name now.
