That is my first shoulder mount from MN. I saw that buck the afternoon before I shot him. He was destroying some willow brush and pushing a smaller buck around. The next morning I had a shot at him looking at me pretty much exactly like how he's mounted. To be honest, I really thought he was considerably bigger than he was/is. He does have some cool forking points though. I'm anxious to get last year's mount back. That one will likely make the full sneak look like the little dink he is. I did mine in semi-sneak, although to me it looks more like semi-upright but w/e, I'm still tickled pink about it. First time I saw that one he was following a doe in the full sneak mode. I was a little afraid of going with that for the first one but they are growing on me quickly. Most all of my mounts from the old place don't look awesome here. Had I shot them all here and had them mounted for this house, most would be semi-sneak variants. I don't even recall exactly what I picked out for the buck I shot last year, other than he better be facing right. I think it's kind of an open shoulder semi-sneak. I've learned the hard way to keep mounts out of the direct sun. My highest scoring buck is on a pedestal, but it got too much sun and the cape has faded badly. I will likely have a taxidermist do something different with that rack someday.

A pic of the floors (and a bunch of clutter) with the new furniture. I think most folks would come in and at first glance assume the tile is hardwood. Nice to get this all wrapped up after beginning in late April.

I have no idea if the new tile floors will reduce our heating bill, but I do know for certain they are much, much warmer than the carpet was. Putting my feet on the floor in the morning is not chilly at all. I can sit barefoot at night with my feet on the floor. No way was I doing that with the carpet. I doubt the floors will increase re-sale to offset their cost, but they sure do feel nice
