Seen around 20 tonight. 6 different bucks and a bunch of does and fawns. Was a lot of action going on. That one buck looks pretty nice. My new seeding alfalfa is not getting much use and I haven’t seen a deer on it for days. I suspect we did not have as much of a dry summer as you did. Maybe that is part of the reason. Time will tell, but I think deer numbers are down as compared to last fall and even last winter.

Raining all day here they say. Sitting in a box blind next to a willow swamp that transitions in a cedar funnel up to a cut bean field. It’s smack dab in the middle of my buddies 600 acres. This could be good today.

Got a waterhole on one side of me in a cedar bedding area and a food plot and the stubble beans on the other side. It is a great spot.

My neighbor and I had a 2 year old buck run out on the dirt road and look at us for a while before he took off through another neighbor's yard. He won't live long I fear.

I’m out hunting tonight. Been a hell of a week. I’m supposed to be headed up north to our traditional rifle opener spot where my daughter was going to hunt. But I came home from my work trip to find out I have Covid. So I guess I’ll quarantine myself to my hunting blind for the weekend. Here’s hoping for a Covid buck.

First hunt of November. Crispy plot and 50 yards from a water tank. 76 degrees.

Watched doe and 2 fawn does for an hour. No sign of a rut.
