Quiet morning, just a couple shots. Wind is really blowing, makes sitting on stand a challenge. I had a fork buck and 3 does go by me this morning, zero sign of the rut. Based on my trail camera activity we had allot better activity earlier in the week.

I saw 3 does, 4 fawns, and at least one 8 pointer. Pretty sure it was one of the 8s I passed yesterday. He was dogging a doe, but she wasn't interested. I looked at him through the scope for well over a minute this morning. He'll be really nice in the years to come if he smartens up. I saw another buck that looked similar a couple hours later. May have been the same 8, may not have been. Said to hell with the wind and came in about 15 minutes ago. Could have filled my buck tag numerous times yesterday and once today. I got nothing to complain about.

Much quieter morning. Saw a beauty of a buck a long ways away before the winds started blasting.

Doesn't look promising for this afternoon......and my family would rather not drive several hours after dark.....then go to work in the morning. Some stuff just does not pay. I did see a few scrapes......so maybe later this week I will try some more. Got funerals on Tuesday and Wed.....200 miles south of here. My SIL arrowed this buck last weekend. He was party hunting with us.....and said he may pass if even a booner came by.....lol. He's got more game in the freezer than they can eat.

I saw one doe this morning and then came in and we boned out and packaged my wife’s buck. I might go sit in the stand with the windows closed this evening, or stay in and nap.

The wind was really something tonight. I sat In a Redneck blind and rock and rolled in the wind. I saw one doe and a small 8 point. The buck was searching but not real hard.
The high wind ends tonight and tomorrow the wind shifts to the N-N/E.
If you follow Drury's deercast tomorrow is suppose to be better than the last two days and Friday-Sunday are very good. We will see.
I'll hunt tomorrow morning then back to work and will hunt again starting Friday. Snow could be a game changer.

My nephew last night showed me some app he has to show peak times for hunting... 9:38 am today to just after noon was peak. i told him I will bet you 100 bucks there isnt shit for movement tomorrow all day. Weather dictates movement more than some silly app. he didnt take my bet. I rest my case.

I'm guessing I'll have average to above average deer movement tomorrow afternoon/early evening. Probably have it tomorrow morning too, but I'm not going to be out there to verify it

I should correct a bit. He showed me that last night for todays hunt..... Knowing there were 40+ gusts today.
Easy to defunk his silly app.
